I think this is the 2nd time Subway staff at the White sands branch called me 'Mom' when asking me what I wanted... I thought only Filipino maids called their female employers 'Mom'... but both the Filipino young lad taking my sandwich order and the Filipino lady at the cashier addressed me as 'Mom'!!

    Maybe they were saying "Ma'am" but it sounded like Mom?? I dunno haha

    Actually now that I think about it - I think they were prob just being polite and saying "Ma'am'... To think that I did not realise.. :(

    hilarious! question- when you say subway, do you mean subway like subway american chain? i'm curious to see/hear what their offerings ins s'pore are like. one other question- generally, how much does airfare cost b/w s'pore & australia/nz? i was thinking of planning my s'pore trip w/ other visits in the vicinity..how many hours is the flight?
