The Kite Runner

It was quite an emotional 2 hrs for me; and in particular this kite scene done at the Berkeley Marina made me feel very nostalgic... There are just some places you grow really attached to and know that you long to return to some day. I don't know if the Afghanistan bits were really shot in Afghanistan but I liked the movie for bringing to life the street scenes, the children, the kite-flying... and it made the 1970s Kabul seem like such a bustling and beautiful place. And I like places and buildings that feel old and historical...
